  • A Chance to Transform Lives - Building tomorrow's leaders through the Wenona Scholarship Program.
  • Authentic Voices - Two of our Year 10 students, Chloe and Annabelle, brought both polish and authenticity to their recent participation in the Plain English-Speaking Competition at Pymble Ladies’ College.
  • Balancing Excellence - While academic excellence is central to our ethos, Wenona is filled with talented students pursuing their dreams outside of the classroom. Year 6 student, Reyna, exemplifies the balance between academic progress and co-curricular success and has already cultivated an impressive dance career, including international recognition.
  • Collective Success - Wenona's Cross Country team has delivered the School’s best-ever point score, finishing second overall at the Independent Girls’ Schools Association (IGSA) Championships, with all 53 of our runners contributing to the historic achievement.
  • Commemorating Anzac Day - Wenona marked Anzac Day with poignant services in our Junior and Senior School Assemblies, followed by the laying of wreaths at the Cenotaph in St Leonards Park. Our commemorations formed part of our annual tradition of honouring the sacrifices of Australian and New Zealand service personnel past and present through reflection and education.

  • Creative Arts Academic Tour 2025 - When 24 talented Wenona students departed Sydney Airport in the April school holidays, they were not just embarking on a typical school excursion. They were entering a living classroom spanning three European countries and some of the world’s most celebrated artistic and cultural institutions.
  • Cross-curricular Mentorship - Our Year 5 students demonstrated the rigour of their learning by hosting an impressive transdisciplinary exhibition for parents, peers, and staff.
  • Embracing Experiential Learning - In late Term 1, our senior Geography students embarked on a three-day field trip to the picturesque New South Wales South Coast to deepen their understanding of coastal ecosystems, tourism economics, and environmental adaptation.
  • Engineering Roars to Life - Wenona’s biennial STEM Car Show made its return last week, filling the Undercroft with an inspiring and eclectic collection of vehicles.
  • Grit: The Beginning of Every Pearl - Life can be messy but Allard House Co-Captain and Football Captain, Phoebe, shows true grit by never giving up.
  • Happy National Boarding Week - This week, Wenona joined schools throughout Australia in celebrating National Boarding Week, highlighting the experiences and vibrant communities within boarding schools across the nation.
  • Reconciliation Week - This year's Reconciliation Week saw students engage meaningfully in conversations about justice, healing and different forms of service.
  • Small Choices, Big Impact: Wenona's Green Vision for 2025 - Environment Week at Wenona is characterised by purpose and practical action, challenging our community to look beyond quick fixes and embrace sustainability as a way of life. Under the theme 'Green in 2025', Environment Captains, Izzy (Year 11) and Sanaya (Year 10), led initiatives designed to spark fun and inspire lasting change.
  • Swimming success - The NSW All Schools Swimming Championships demonstrated excellent teamwork for Wenona swimmers, with six students claiming seven medals across multiple events and age groups – a testament to the depth and quality of our Swimming program.
  • The Quiet Beauty of Others' Lives - Instrumental Co-Captain, Nicole, compares pearls to people – they come in all different shapes and colours, and they all shine and sparkle in their own way.
  • What is Growing Up a Girl? - Growing up a girl is complex – Head Prefect, Zara’s solution is for us to create change together for the benefit of everyone.
